1. Who we are
Aced is operated as a sole trader business in the United Kingdom. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. If you have any questions contact us at support@getaced.co.uk
2. What data we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and password. When you set up your profile we collect your name, date of birth, job sector, current job title, and region. When you upload documents we store your CV, job descriptions, supporting statements, and any additional documents you choose to upload. When you use the practice feature we store your answers, scores, and feedback. When you make a payment we do not store your card details. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
3. How we use your data
We use your email to send you account related communications and updates about Aced. We use your documents to generate personalised interview questions and feedback. We use your practice history to show you your results and progress over time. We use your profile information to personalise your experience. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share your data with third parties except where necessary to operate the service.
4. Third party services
Aced uses trusted third party services to operate including database storage, hosting, payment processing, and AI powered features. Each service is bound by appropriate data processing agreements. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function. We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Your documents
Your CV, job descriptions, and other documents are stored securely in our database. They are used only to generate your practice questions and feedback. You can delete any document at any time from your folder page. When you delete a document it is permanently removed from our storage.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account all your data including documents, practice sessions, answers, and feedback is permanently deleted within 30 days. We may retain anonymised usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to how we process your data, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights contact us at support@getaced.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
Aced uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your session. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this may prevent you from logging in to Aced.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Access to our database is restricted and monitored.
10. Children
Aced is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make significant changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
